The Quimby Family Foundation has been awarding yearly grants since 2005. We proudly partner with non-profits throughout the state of Maine to promote Human Wholeness. To us, Human Wholeness is physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health and we believe in the inherent value of nature to advance all four.

Mission: The mission of Rippleffect is to promote youth development and leadership through adventure, healthy communities and living sustainably.
QFF Grant: Funding will support the expansion of the Rippleffect Outdoor Leadership Education (ROLE) program for the 2016/17 school-year. In the current iteration of ROLE, students participate in 4 after school sessions that focus on the progression of skills and leadership opportunities that culminate in a 3-day expedition on Cow Island or the White Mountains. Their goal is to build on this foundational program to expand both the number of students they work with as well as the depth of the curriculum. They want to fully implement a High School ROLE
program in South Portland and three full sessions of ROLE at Lyman Moore Middle School in South Portland.
