The Quimby Family Foundation has been awarding yearly grants since 2005. We proudly partner with non-profits throughout the state of Maine to promote Human Wholeness. To us, Human Wholeness is physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health and we believe in the inherent value of nature to advance all four.

The American Folk Festival

Mission: The American Folk Festival on the Bangor Waterfront engages people in traditional arts from around the world. Featuring music, dance, crafts, food, and storytelling, the festival is dedicated to providing a culturally meaningful celebration of multiple artistic traditions and education about the traditional arts for all ages.

QFF Grant: For the Children’s Village which is an interactive educational space where children and families can create music, art, and directly learn from performers. Artists performing in the Children’s Village bring a unique arts experience to children at the Festival. This year, the AFF will build a month long thematic arts program, in advance of the festival, that will educate and expose youth and their families to traditional arts that will be presented at the festival. QFF funding will secure performers, project materials, and educational resources.
