The Quimby Family Foundation has been awarding yearly grants since 2005. We proudly partner with non-profits throughout the state of Maine to promote Human Wholeness. To us, Human Wholeness is physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health and we believe in the inherent value of nature to advance all four.

For the Gleaning and Farm to School Programs. Through gleaning opportunities, volunteers come to farms, orchards, and farmers’ markets to collect and redistribute food that would otherwise go to waste. The long-term goal of the Gleaning Initiative is to develop mutually beneficial relationships among Food Security Organizations (FSOs) and farms, establishing on-going gleaning systems that can eventually sustain themselves with minimal staff support.
