The Quimby Family Foundation has been awarding yearly grants since 2005. We proudly partner with non-profits throughout the state of Maine to promote Human Wholeness. To us, Human Wholeness is physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health and we believe in the inherent value of nature to advance all four.

To fund the Rippleffect Outdoor Leadership Education (ROLE) program. ROLE is a leadership and development program where participants learn leadership tools and fundamental problem solving skills, outdoor survival and environmental education during 4 after school sessions. They participate in a three-day expedition on Cow Island or the White Mountains to deeply connect with their natural world and test the skills they have learned during the program. In addition to these after school and expedition sessions, Rippleffect is now positioned to hold a summer summit and a high school follow up. Programming will start in October 2015 and finish with the summer Summit 2016.
