The Quimby Family Foundation has been awarding yearly grants since 2005. We proudly partner with non-profits throughout the state of Maine to promote Human Wholeness. To us, Human Wholeness is physical, emotional, social, and spiritual health and we believe in the inherent value of nature to advance all four.

Twin Villages Foodbank Farm

Twin Villages Foodbank Farm (TVFF) just completed its first full growing season producing nearly 20,000 pounds of produce on two acres of land located at the Damariscotta River Association’s (DRA) headquarters. The mission of the TVFF is to produce fresh, nutrient dense food for local communities and to be a leader in addressing food insecurity in Midcoast Maine. TVFF was established following conversations between the DRA and regional partners including Midcoast Hunger Prevention Program (MCHPP), FARMS, Midcoast Food Council, Ecumenical Food Pantry and other area pantries. In the early stages of development the DRA is serving as fiscal sponsor and physical location of TVFF, with the short term goal (1-2 years) of fully integrating the farm with the DRA.
